A Las Vegas native, Shanika has a strong passion for the veterinary field. She started her first job in the field in 2008. She loves building relationships and being able to assist in the care and treatment of patients. Especially boxers, her favorite breed!

With a special interest in research medicine, Shanika enjoys staying up to date with the latest advancements and development of new treatments and techniques. It's wonderful to see her enthusiasm for advancing the field.

Shanika's family is an important part of her life. She shares her life with her son Corbin, her mom, and her two sisters, which provides her with a strong support system and enriches her personal life.

Outside of work, Shanika has a diverse range of hobbies that include reading, science, technology, movies, and dancing.
